Certification Requirements

To receive your BLS certification, you must:

Pass the written exam (online or in class):

• Online:
  • Log in to the AHA eLearning site:
    • Go to https://elearning.heart.org/
  • Access your exam using the links below:
    • Go to https://elearning.heart.org/course/1513
    • You will have two (2) attempts to pass with a score of ≥ 84%
    • There is no time limit for the exam
  • Email the completion certificate to certificates@heartrestartcpr.com. 
    • Screen shots cannot be accepted.
• Classroom:
  • You will have two (2) attempts to pass with a score of ≥ 84%
  • The time limit is 25 minutes to complete.

Successfully complete the hands-on skills testing

Course resources, including the BLS eBook, are available below.

· Please arrive 5–10 minutes early; outdoor seating is available if you are earlier.

· The American Heart Association requires full attendance. 

· Any student arriving more than five (5) minutes after the scheduled start time will be considered late and classified as a “no-show.”

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy:

· Rescheduling more than 3 days before class: No fee

· Cancellation more than 3 days before class: 90% refund

· Rescheduling within 48 hours of class: 80% refund

· Cancellation within 48 hours of class: 70% refund

· Rescheduling within 24 hours of class or for Saturday classes: 60% refund

· Cancellation within 24 hours of class or for Saturday classes: 40% refund
