There are several steps in becoming an American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor. This section outlines the process of becoming an instructor.

The Heartsaver Instructor course is for those who have a current Heartsaver CPR ARD and First Aid certification and who are seeking to teach CPR in the community. Heartsaver CPR can be taught to non-medical personnel in child-care centers, for personal trainers, sea captains, and general public.
Cost is $250 (does not include Instructor Essentials course, Student and Instructor manuals)

You must have a current AHA Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid Provider Certification in order to take this class
This class is for those who have a current BLS Provider Certification and want to teach within their place of employment. If you plan to teach at your organization, this class is for you. You must be able to teach a minimum of 2 classes a year with a minimum of 3 students in each class.
