Need a CPR class? Need BLS Renewal? The American Heart Association HeartCode BLS Course, is web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. With a focus on the components of high-quality CPR, this online instructional program uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills for single-rescuer and team basic life support.
Students have access to all information in the course for 2 years after activation of course key. This includes the BLS Provider Manual, downloadable algorithms, summary of steps of CPR, the BLS pocket reference card and more.

Upon successful completion of the online portion, including the course exam, students receive a certificate of completion, which they must print and present for entry into the Instructor-led hands-on session.
In-Person Skills Session
After completing the eLearning component, students will attend a structured Instructor-led course that focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols and skills testing.
HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. To enter the course, students must complete a precourse self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases. The cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students will take a multiple choice exam and must pass with a minimum score of 84%.

This eLearning course is the self-directed online portion of HeartCode PALS blended learning, which is followed by a hands-on session for skills practice and testing.
HeartCode PALS is a comprehensive program that uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. Using eSimulation technology, students can assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students also apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning.
